Stock Trading is an intense job and requires you to take a breather every now and then and relax a bit to clear your mind , Here are some movies based on share market / stock market or trading stocks which every stock market enthusiast should watch at least once in his/her lifetime.
7. Wall Street (1987) – This one is a bit oldie but still one of my favourite , Charlie Sheen is at his best in this one along with a fantastic acting by Michael Douglas , it’s a story about the game of money, power and greed that goes on in the financial world and at wall street , a must watch for every trader , investor or stock market enthusiast , it also has good rating on IMDB.
6. Margin Call (2011) – Margin call is a story about a young trader employed with a trading firm who finds out that their company may go under as per mathematical projections , it’s a sort of drama related to what goes on after this discovery is made and how the firm handles it , obviously Kevin Spacey is at his best , not everyone will like this one but it’s still a must watch as per me.
5. The Crooked E : The unshredded Truth about Enron (2003) – It’s a movie about Enron , a company that cooked it’s books, showed imaginary profits in its balance sheets and fooled the public and it’s investors into thinking that Enron was a giant , a very good movie , must watch.

Gafla (2006) – This is an indian bollywood hindi movie which shows the making of notorious Harshad Mehta who was charged with securities scam of hundred of crores which took place around the year 1992 , this is a good one but only for hindi speaking people unless you can find subtitles for your language somewhere , this movie is available on Youtube for free.
3. Boiler Room (2000) – Boiler room is a movie about a young boy who joins an obscure stock trading firm but soon realizes that a lot of dirty secrets are hidden behind the walls of that firm , Vin Diesel graces us with his presence along with a younger Ben Afflek himself , one of my favourite.

Rogue Trader (1999) – A young trader Nick Leeson goes to Singapore to trade on the behalf of his bank( Baring Bank ), firstly everything goes as per his plans but things suddenly worsens as he is unable to cope with the losses and single handedly leads to a financial crisis like situation , another good movie , a must watch , this one is also available on Youtube for free.
1. The Big short (2015) – By far the best movie made about stock market, this is a story about the people who predicted the 2008 housing market crash and discovered how corrupt and flawed the market was to being with , a star studded movie starring Brad Pitt , Ryan Gosling , Christian Bale and Steve Carell , a must must watch , i have myself watched it like 15 times , it also has a very good rating on IMDB.
